The Hour is Enough

If open window—

Listen to holes

Beneath the rain
If closed door—

Enter the wound

As one enters a dream

Unseen            Invisible

To yourself
The who you are

welling into language

of flowers
The world you feel in your ribs

an echo

beneath the surface
of breath

Forget where you began
The wind moves over the meadow
The house you live in broke loose
The sky will not heal

This ruined garden

What happens next–

Isn’t real
