What are some major accomplishments you have had since your Sweet publication?

I won the 2023 Blue Lynx Prize! Lynx House Press will publish THIS ONE WE CALL OURS this fall (2024). It’s a book that shares the grief and joy of living on Earth during the Anthropocene.

Can you tell us about a current/ongoing project that you’re excited about?

I am working on a full-length collection about living with ALS.

Who is your favorite author?

That’s a toughy. I love Emily Dickinson, Dorianne Laux, Harryette Mullen, Diane Seuss, & Kay Ryan.

What is your favorite poem/essay/book?

One of my very favorites is Sleeping with the Dictionary by Harryette Mullen.

What inspires you to write?

My kids and being out in nature.

What are you reading right now?

The Practice of the Wild (Gary Snyder).

What is your favorite sweet? We would love for you to share a recipe or link to place that serves it.
