WATER
Rain, baths, rivers, lakes, swimming pools, the ocean—we humans spend a lot of time in and around water. How have our experiences with water shaped who we are and what we love? How might water serve as imagery and symbol—its movement, its colors, its association with cleanliness and purity?
This class includes weekly sample readings and prompts, with your poem or short cnf piece (under 1000 words) due the following week. Participants will receive written responses from me and 2 fellow participants, chosen randomly by the software; each week you will be required to write responses for 2 fellow participants. In written feedback, we will always emphasize support, encouragement, and respect, working to describe what's going on in a piece before moving on to questions and suggestions.
