MOTHERS
May 1-29, 2024, asynchronous (using the Wet Ink platform)
We all had mothers. And whether our relationships with them are/were complex, tempestuous, problematic, tense, loving, smothering, or all of these things, we often write about them. Then there’s the perspective of being a mother or observing our friends as mothers, the ways we see “mothering” occur in the world no matter the gender of the creature doing that mothering (and why do we rarely say “fathering”?), animal mothers, insect mothers, and plant mothers. For readings, prompts, deadlines, and supportive responses to your writing on this theme, sign up for this asynchronous class with Katie! (Please email me if the fee presents a hardship and we can work something out.)
